Hello to all....I just joined last night and have to say that this is really a wonderful place...Full of peace and a feeling of His love all through it.. I have had many trials and struggles in my lifetime and know there are bound to be more but I have to tell you that with everything I have been through, I would not have made it if it had not been for Jesus looking out for me and helping me to learn through my mistakes. About me briefly, I am 52 and married for the fourth time...This time I have been married for 17 yrs. come this Feb 14...My other marriages were troubling...I am a survior of an abusive marriage...I have two children (all grown) and am the step mom to four others. I am a grandma of 4 and one on the way....Life has been hard but I have been blessed and in my troubled times I know that my friend Jesus was there holding me up and when I did fall He was there to help me grab my boot straps and pull me up!! Hi, I just wanted to share with everyone what God is doing for me and what He has already done. He has helped me lose 140 pounds, He helped me quit smoking also. He just got me into a new home with a lot more room than I had before. I am believing God for another vehicle, since I am driving farther since I moved to go to school. The car that I have is anointed by God, and it won't give out on me before God has another car lined up for me....I do believe this. The car I drive is an 87 model Toyota and it is beyond me how it gets me everywhere I need to go. Praise God! I would appreciate hearing from anyone who would like to write.

i am Jonalie 21 from the Philippines, i would like to leave my testimony about my life as a Christian. I am only a new born again Christian, I've just received Jesus last Jan.11, 2004. And accepting Jesus change my life, I started to appreciate and love other people. I'm also more patient and happier than before, I'll go to the church service with my family and neighbors, and also started to know God by reading the bible and bible study every Saturday. When you feel discouraged, Call His name.

At the time I was working in the maintenance department in Wal-Mart. One day after a particularly difficult attack by the enemy, I was cleaning the restroom. I began to recite these words to myself as a prayer. When I realized what was happening, I quickly grabbed a piece of paper (I think it was the back of the cleaning log LOL) and began to write it down. This was the first time I had ever written poetry. PRAISE GOD for His wonderful gifts. I have written a few other poems since then.

My Christian Testimony Ephesians 2:1-7

A little Background

I had a very hard life as a child. I didn't know my Father and when I was 4 my mother married my stepfather. I lived with two step brothers (around my age) and one half sister (6 years younger than me).

Daily life from age 4-12 (and even until i graduated and moved out when I was 17) in this family was not good.

Now there are people who have had worse lives than I did, but it was a bad life none the less.

My step brothers tried to kill me every day since I was 7 until they were kicked out of the house around age 11 (and they tried to rape me on several occasions too). *I don’t know how people can't see children are wicked little sinners growing more evil every day.

My stepfather was mean to me all the time and I always got into trouble for things my siblings did because the way they saw it "their kids couldn't possibly have been the ones to do those things." One time my stepfather even threw me face first into an open refrigerator then slapped me so hard I flew to the ground.

I hated being in that family and whenever my stepfather would come home from work, I used to hide out in my room and distance myself from him so I wouldn’t be in the way to get in trouble for some reason or another.

My Life before Christ, I felt unloved by everyone in my immediate family and we hardly had any contact with other people in the family. I know I used to do or say what I wanted without realizing that I was responsible to God for my actions. I didn't like to obey my parents when I felt that I didn't have to, and when my step father was mean to me, I would usually talk back.

I got in trouble sometimes at school around other kids, I didn't care if I cursed at my siblings, or used God's name in vain. I only did "good" things in order to get something out of it that would benefit me. I felt like my parents didn't love me or care about me, but all my life my grandparents talked to me about Jesus and how much he loved me. It was through them showing me by how they lived that God had changed them through a personal relationship Jesus Christ.

I stayed at their house every weekend while many times my parents and their kids would "go on family getaways". I didn't care though, because I was with my grandparents and I enjoyed going to church every Sunday with them.

Intervention of God's Truth (Gospel) one day when I was 12, I heard the pastor telling the Gospel message about God's love, and about Hell and Heaven. I realized I was a sinner headed to hell and I needed Jesus as my Savior. I heard how he would be in my daily life now and for eternity in heaven

I walked up the isle during the invitation time, and told the pastor I wanted Jesus to be my Savior. I prayed to God and was glad that God forgave me of my sins, because of what God did for me through Jesus on the cross and in the resurrection.

I liked to talk to people about Jesus after I was born again. I got baptized to show everyone that I was a believer in Jesus Christ and would obey God. I felt I now had a Father in heaven who loved me and proved his love for me so that I could have a personal relationship with Him forever.

How my life has changed since salvation. Over the years I have had wonderful life with Jesus. He has helped me through many rough times…physical, emotional, and financial situations. Sometimes I made wrong choices, especially in the military, but God got through to me one day when I realized that even though I prayed to him, I haven't been close to him like I should be.

See, after divorcing my first husband (for multiple affairs that I didn't know about until someone who lived near me told me about it shortly after I miscarried our twin babies). I found myself a life of sexual sin probably because I felt like "I was damaged goods" now so what did it matter.

I needed to talk about this to God and get rid of the sin in my life, and realize that God would heal my broken heart and lead me to the person who was best for me (a new husband). I also realized I needed to be reading the bible all the time to stay close to him, know more about Him and how to live the way God wants me to. Christian Kids & young adults sometimes don't realize what they say or do once they get saved if they don't have someone to help them grow in their relationship with God... then they aren’t able to live how God wants them to, especially if they don't regularly read the bible, attend church and serve the Lord.

After I realized my relationship with God hadn't grown much since High School (the last time I regularly attended church) I found a readable bible and began to enjoy spending time with God in scripture and talking to Him during the day through prayer. I have since grown as a Christian through the knowledge and application of scripture with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Because I have grown in my relationship with Christ I know the bible well, regularly attend Church, and Serve the Lord anywhere I am. I tell people about God so that they can hear His message and choose to repent and turn have a daily personal relationship with God too.

My assurance for eternity Scripture says I received eternal life the moment I believed God's message and repented. God has placed the Holy Spirit inside of me as the seal and guarantee of my salvation.

God is using me for His purposes every day. I will keep doing what he wants me to do, and grow closer to God in my relationship with him, and become more like Jesus until He comes back to take me to my eternal home in heaven, which is something I am really looking forward to!

I'm in 9th grade and I was just recently suspended from school because of Tobacco. I thought that i could trust this friend of mine to keep the secret within, but I guess I was wrong. It was 8th hour and I was about to get rid of it and the Dean of our school stopped me and told me to go into the gym. He said will you please empty your pockets and when I did he found the tobacco.. I knew that i was screwed because I did not do a thing about it. Im in softball and suspended from that and now I have rumors going around school about me and i lost a lot of friends and most of all Trust and Respect.

I come to Believers Hope to use your study room, and receive prayer request. I have, I believe, been given an opportunity to witness to my neighbor. She is of Indian and French descent, having converted to Judaism. For many reasons she has been searching for some real identity as to what she really believes and wants to know about Jesus. How do I witness to her. I know of the Old Testament prophecies of Christ birth but if the Jews only recognized the first 5 books of the Bible how do I show her Jesus in them. I have decided to write this message in hopes of finding some type of peace. I have been going through a lot the past year, it started off by me losing my 1 year old grandson to murder in February of 2004. Even though the police know who it is, they do not have enough evidence to make an arrest. So everyday our family has to suffer with the knowledge of knowing this person is free and walking about freely. It hurts so deeply. I thank God I am a believer in his word and I know He will not give you more than you can handle.

My husband is an abusive alcoholic, not so much physical as emotional. I have tried to make our marriage work, even counseling, but I am losing my faith and strength and I really need your prayers. I would like to have a pen pal to talk with and to pray with, for I know I am not very strong and the devil is at his highest point in my life, but I know he is a lier! In many verses of the Bible! The words caughtup, translated, delivered, meet, changed, gathered etc. As you can see, several different words are used for Rapture. The Rapture is when those who love Jesus go with Jesus Christ to heaven in a Twinkling of an eye, and those left behind will be forced to think weird explanations, like the millions who disappeared went into a ufo etc.
