Chip and Pin

Britain is being swept by 'chip and pin' fever and we are told it IS THE FUTURE. It is set to save banking companies millions and put the responsibility of our money back into our hands. It's a good idea in principal and will certainly stop a great deal of fraud. Obviously it will not stop all fraud, but it is a step in the right direction.

But as I look at the pros and cons of the system and hear the arguments from the supporters you can see the real future unfolding and the prophecies of Revelation 13:17

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

If you want a quick run down of 'chip and pin' then click on the link below, it will tell you all you need to know:

It is new to this country but in Germany and France it has been around for quite a few years. The idea is that it can be used in all aspects of life where money changes hands, so what's new you ask. In Germany you can download money on to a card and then use that like you would cash. It makes sense and eventually card readers could be installed in to everything; like pay phones, post offices, toll booths, petrol pumps etc etc, cash could become virtual. BUT and it is a big BUT you will still have a problem with fraud.

People are already saying, what about older people who can't remember numbers, also those will illnesses and those who just can't remember, what will they do? The answer is simple, they will write down the number and risk it being stolen along with the card. A real problem but one we are told we will have to live with and overcome it OURSELVES.

We can see the evolution of the cashless society but more importantly the 'mark' from it's conception of the first card to the imminent 'chip and pin' and how over the years technology has prompted an increase in security which is the driving force behind it's evolution.

We are now at the stage where the 'mark' as prophesied could become a reality, TODAY. What would prompt it's introduction, this small step from a chip on a card to a chip in the body, once again SECURITY and a guarantee that our money would be better looked after. Remember why we are moving to the 'chip and pin'. The banks are losing millions because they are liable if some one fraudulently uses your card and copies your signature. Now with the advent of a 4 digit number which YOU are responsible for, you become liable for any losses.

The problem as it's always been is linking a card with a single person. Technology has been such that there has never been a good enough system to bring the two together in an infallible method. But if you install the card in the person then there is no problem with authentication and proving its your card. In reality the card becomes a chip which can be filled with any amount and all types of information.

Just listen to the arguments and think about the eventual outcome to which we are heading with some speed. There is only one direction we can now take and we are looking at months not decades.

The only obstacle now standing in the way is our love of 'cash', in the hand. Keep your eyes on the news and technology and you will slowly start to see a way opening for the 'mark'.
