TOUTATIS fly-by in 2004.

In 2004 'Toutatis' one of the strangest objects in the Solar System will fly by earth. In space terms it will be the closest thing ever to come to earth, less than 1 million miles, without hitting us!!.
For a Toutatis view of earth from Nov 1996 click here. For an animation of the asteroid Toutatis click here. It would seem that the asteroid is getting closer and this time it will be altered by the earths gravitational pull. But is this asteroid the one spoken of in Revelation 8:8-9;

8. And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast in the sea and the third part of the sea became blood.
9. And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

For an idea of the destruction an object falling to earth can do just look at the picture of the famous crater in America and the same picture put into a background showing the size of the crater.

Of course it would not just make a hole if it hit land but would destroy everything around it. The prediction if taken as an asteroid strike would be in the sea and as such the damage would be slightly minimized.
